Fiona Hall

NAG Collection Artist

Fiona Hall AO is a gun of the Australian contemporary art world 🔫. Straddling photography, sculpture, and ceramic practice all with dizzying levels of finesse, Hall has been deemed ‘one of Australia's most consistently innovative contemporary artists’ by The New McCulloch's Encyclopedia of Australian Art; an endorsement not given lightly. Hall studied at the National Art School 🎨 and her expansive, multi-disciplinary practice considers globalisation, environment, domestic life and the economy 🌎. Her work ‘Home for Incurables’ featured in the Y2C Project investigates the material potential of ceramics as ripe for domestic subversion.
